I spent my college years in Cincinnati and Madrid. It seemed back then (pre-Internet) that people gathered in coffee shops to debate and converse. The coffee houses were generally equipped with dusty tomes upon stands (usually huge dictionaries or other reference books), globes, chess sets and even ricketty old pianos (I remember one painted dark green and having yellowed keys), antique, crooked wooden floors, ceramic tiled ceilings, stained glass windows, fireplaces… you get the idea. Lots of atmosphere and a sense of past. There was always a dizzying array of hot beverages – doubly appreciated on those icy winter nights.
To this day I cannot sit and watch TV. I have to be engaged in something a bit more active. I LOVE the Internet, but miss that connection with others that was to be found in those weathered places.
I started this forum/blog in the hopes that some of the very interesting people I have met on my musical journey might meet each other and hopefully find kindred spirits. This is your place to discuss, opine, dream and wonder aloud.
Welcome!!
Reading these inital posts reminds me of my Cleveland friend Hank Haller, who has played in many a a dusty back room during his music career. He’s made over 70 recordings over the years (ethnic music) (www.internationalpolka.com/haller.htm).
Anyway, he got me introduced to a European bandleader named Slavko Avsenik, who’s band is the most recorded in the world; over 31 million records sold; 33 of them gold. He too has his own recording studio, just like Pamela and Randy. You can see it at (www.avsenik-sp.si/gb-main.html). They made a career out of playing in these dusty old back rooms when they first began their musical journey.
So it looks like Pamela and Randy are right on target for even more future greatness — terrific! It couldn’t happen to a nicer duo. Nick

Hello Pamela and Randy Copus! My name is Erick Moraes Santana, I am Brazilian and I love your very beautiful and spectacular music! Unfortunately, it is very hard to find CDs of 2002, here in my country, the Brazil. Your beautiful music band is not widely known in my country. But, I LOVE SO MUCH YOUR SONGS, FOREVER IN MY LIFE!
I’ve bought on Amazon, its beautiful CD, Damayanti, it’s amazing, fun and heavenly!
Did you know? -I am the only Brazilian in my home country, the Brazil, that I have your wonderful cd Damayanti!!
It’s exciting, fantastic, full of peace and joy!
I wish peace, love and light to you, Pamela, Randy and Sarah!
Hi, I love your music. It gives me peace when I’m driving or needing to relax and joy when I’m cooking. I accidentally found Scared Well when I was looking for a compilation of music by various artists of 2002. Since then, I’ve been very loyal.
I noticed over the years that the pictures of yourselves on your CD covers have gone from joyous to serious. The happy ones make me feel like you love what you do. The serious ones make me feel like it’s a chore and you don’t like each other. Is it a chore to make such beautiful music?
I sing. I know when my accompanist and I are creating my/our interpretation of the music, it is work—but pleasant work. Presenting the music is a joy.
It’s great to know your daughter is preforming in Believe. How nice that she is interested in music and all of you can work together.
Hi Linda
It’s nice to meet you. Actually we have made very few photos! I can honestly only recall 4 “official” photo shoots in 20 years. 🙂 We’d both rather be playing music than standing in front of a camera. We do plan on getting some new photos very soon. To answer your question, music is never a chore. Posing in front of a camera is!
